COO for Syntheon
As COO, Carlos is involved in every aspect of Syntheon function, including responsibility for program management, project finances, design oversight and control, manufacturing engineering, operations, logistics, supplier development and relations. Preparing him for of that is three decades of medical device industry experience that began in 1991 as a manufacturing engineer with Symbiosis Corporation.
His meteoric rise at Symbiosis included increasingly more vital roles. Upon leaving the company in 2001, he had become Business Unit Manager for New Products, a unit that delivered over $50MM annually for Boston Scientific. His career continued as Director of Manufacturing for Medcanica, Inc, and a Program Manager for InScope.
With experience developing and launching products in cardiology, flexible endoscopy, laparoscopy and urology, in 2005 we welcomed Carlos back home as Director of Global Operations at Syntheon. In 2016 he was named Vice President of Operations and in 2021 he was appointed to his current position of Chief Operating Officer.
Carlos earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Florida International University.
