Korey has worked for 30 years as a research and development engineer in the explosives ordnance industry specializing in automotive airbag initiators, pyrophorics, IR decoy flares and safe & arm devices. Korey was responsible for designing the initial production tooling and automated machine specifications for automotive air bag initiators that are now being produce in quantities of over a two million units per month. Expertise in clever solutions to problems while delivering safe, functional prototype hardware.

Worked for 15 years specializing in the field of hybrid and solid rocket propulsion, including development, testing, and launch operations for scientific sounding rockets and military rockets. Performed research and development activities for NASA, DARPA, and the US Air Force Rocket Propulsion Laboratory and participated in an industry consortium for the demonstration and development of hybrid-propulsion launch boosters. Designer of the propulsion systems for both Space Ship One and Go Fast Sounding rockets, the first civilian launch vehicles to reach space.

Holds 23 issues United States patents in rocket propulsion technology (some under DOD secrecy order). Several additional patents are pending in the medical device fields.
